Courses

  • FDLE K-9 handler course (12 weeks)
  • Trainer’s course (10 weeks)
    • Requirements:
      • Minimum of five (5) years as a police dog K-9 handler
      • Not have been found guilty of any use of force
      • PSD reserves the right to certify or remove you from the course with a pro-rated reimbursement.
  • One on one unit seminars and/or workshops (patrol and detection work)
  • K-9 unit maintenance training course (patrol and detection work)
  • Problem solving for certifications (FDLE, USPCA, NAPWDA, NPCA, NNDDA)
